After donations came in from American Legion Post all over the world, the take was a little over $50,000.00. Very impressive. Gene Simmons of Kiss fame heard about this event by watching the news on CBS or KTLA the night of the fundraiser and decided that night that he would pitch in a very generous donation of $50,000.00!!!  When all was said and done, the final take was just over $100,000.00!!!
The Dawgs are proud to have been a part of this event and appreciate the letter of thank's from The 101st Airbourne Southern California Chapter.

Check out this article/review written about us in "The Pickett Report" for Raymond James Investments June 2010. A  news letter that's distributed to all Telephone Company employees nation wide and all Southern Calif. Customers.
The scanned copy is hard to read so I've typed it out for easier reading.

Article By Frank Pickett:
It’s a bit cold and drizzly as I pull into the parking lot at the Long beach Marina on a late Friday night to come hear my friends perform. The Shameless Dawgs. The band has been together for years and is led by the fearless Frank Lo., vocalist and lead guitar. Frank works for Verizon down in Long Beach and is quite the veteran. His stage presence is amazing; he’s very comfortable out in front leading the charge.

Tonight’s crowd is small but loyal due to the weather and these guys are grinding it out as if they were on stage in a packed arena. The sound is really great and they play with great passion; they look like they’re really having fun and enjoy what they’re doing. The first thing you seem to notice is Franks amazing ability as a vocalist. His voice is sure, powerful, and the Tambour in his voice is rich and resonant. Often a cover band will play different material and do a decent job, but this band is different. Frank has the ability to sing different styles and artist which his vocals easily accommodate all the range and sounds needed. When he sings a Jim Morrison and the Doors piece, it rather sounds like a band that specializes in the Doors. But when they do something by Smokey Robinson, they have a much different sound than the band that just played a song by Jim Morrison, but equally good. Although Frank’s vocals are really something, his guitar playing is really good also and I’m always amazed at someone who can do two different musical disciplines so well.   How about the rest of the band? Needless to say, they were great and they backed up Frank L. with a real tight sound. Albert R. is the band’s drummer and all night long he kept that beat going on pounding out the beat with an energy that kept the excitement in the room. He’s in the back and hard to see, but the beat and intensity was unmistakable. You couldn’t avoid tapping your toe or thumping your fingers on the bar to keep up with his rhythm and a beat that had energy, measure, and intensity. Write up there and to compliment Albert was Bryce W., The bands bass player who is also a Verizon employee. Playing together with Albert, they created a great rhythm section. His sound and intensity was also very audible but unlike Albert stuck in the back, Bryce right up front and center next to Frank. And, he
doesn’t stop moving. His energy level was quite amazing. His energy and bass playing was evident not only in sound, but when you look at him, he’s wiry and thin, presumably from all of his hard work on stage complimenting Albert and sustaining a deep beat underneath to support Frank’s vocals and guitar playing.
The last member of the team is Gilbert D., keyboards extraordinaire. Gilbert has played with many professionals over the years and was quite amazing to listen to, he made so many different sounds and made it appear effortlessly as he played. He seemed to be more of the swing man of the group alternating as a strong rhythm voice to a lead voice when needed. His keyboard exuded a variety of wonderful sounds including a classic Hammond sound to a Fender Rhoades  keyboard of the 70s. His color and sound was the perfect compliment to Frank’s vocals and a fiercely dedicated rhythm section that pounded out a beat that was guaranteed to keep you out of your seat, tapping your toes or dancing on the floor.
My personal congratulation to the band. I’d really enjoy listening to them again and I’d come back on another Friday night to hear them!

The Dawgs wish to thank Frank Pickett for all the nice words about the band!
